You are a role model!

So I've recently come across (by chance) some accounts that promote eating disorders, self harming etc... on twitter and it shocked me to think these accounts exist! Such negative accounts that target vulnerable (often young) people who have a very low self esteem. This gave me the idea for today's post. Today's post is one I am very passionate about, one that I believe is very important and is quite deep. Now whether you want to believe it or not, this applies to you. No matter what you do, no matter who you are, this applies to you. If you don't believe me, carry on reading...

To those sat there thinking, "How on earth does this relate to me?", I ask you, have you ever had bad days where you feel worthless? Have you ever been in a relationship where your "partner" has made you feel insignificant? Have you ever had arguments that have made you feel like you have no say in anything? Yes? Well this applies to you!

Whenever you feel worthless, you need to understand that you are someones role model. If you are a mother, your children look up to you. Your children are watching you, following your every move. If you are a sister, or a brother, your siblings will always be looking for advice and will always care for what you have to say. If you are a teacher, you have children wanting to learn from you. If you are a nurse, or a doctor, you have people desperately wanting your help. Do you see my point? No matter who you are, no matter what you do, no matter your age or sex, you are important and should NEVER feel worthless. There is always someone out there that depends on you and will always look up to you, and if you just give up, what message are you sending out?

This leads on to my next point, health and fitness! As we know obesity is a very big problem in both the US and the UK and it will only grow to  become worse if the younger generations do not learn more about health and fitness. This again, is a subject I am passionate about. But how do we expect children to become healthier and more active if we ourselves are promoting fast food businesses and feeding them endless amounts of sugary foods and drinks. How do we expect the younger generations to exercise if we ourselves are inactive and do not practice what we preach? Now can you see why I say you're important and a role model, it's because you are!

"Children have never been good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them!"

Now whatever you are going through at the moment, no matter how low you currently feel, this will not last forever. There is light at the end of this tunnel, and in a couple of weeks/months when you have finally got over this rough patch, you will have gained vital experience. Why is it vital? Because you would have learned from this and you'll be able to encourage others who are experiencing the same rough patch you did, and this makes you important. You will be changing someones life for the better and THAT doesn't sound like someone who is worthless.

Now to finish, I want you to always remember this...

"No matter who you are, no matter what you do, you are a role model!"
